Global Security Initiative
- Recently, China’s President proposed a new Global Security Initiative (GSI).
- It calls for a common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security and building an Asian security model based on mutual respect, openness and integration.
- It seeks to counter the US Indo-Pacific strategy and the Quad which includes India, US, Australia and Japan.
