India and Saudi Arabia Sign Bilateral Agreement for Haj 2024

On 7th January, 2024, India and Saudi Arabia inked a bilateral pact allocating a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims for the 2024 Haj pilgrimage.

  • 1,40,020 seats are reserved for Haj Committee pilgrims and 35,005 for private operators.
  • India's digital initiatives for Haj pilgrims were praised, and Saudi Arabia offered to extend support.
