Mizoram Pioneers Property Card Distribution in Northeast
- Recently, Mizoram became the first Northeast state to distribute property cards under the SVAMITVA scheme, which provides legal ownership documents to rural households.
- Mizoram began distributing property cards on April 24, 2023. As of January 18, 2025, a total of 2,909 property cards have been distributed, with plans to provide approximately 35,000 property cards in the coming phases.
