Green Hydrogen Technologies

Green hydrogen is hydrogen produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using an electrolyzer powered by renewable energy sources like solar or wind. It is a "zero-emission" fuel as it produces only water vapour and heat when consumed, acting as a chemical storage medium for renewable electricity.

Technology and Process

  • Electrolysis: The heart of the process is the Electrolyzer. An electric current is passed through water (H2O) between two electrodes (anode and cathode) separated by an electrolyte or a membrane.
  • Chemical Reaction: The electricity breaks the chemical bonds; hydrogen ions move toward the cathode to form H2 gas, while oxygen ....
