Origin
- Kurumba painting is a prehistoric art form, estimated to be over 3,000 years old.
- It originates from the Kurumba tribe inhabiting regions of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.
- Traditionally, the art was created on rocks and cave walls in the high hills of the Nilgiris.
Raw Materials and Tools
- The paintings use natural pigments sourced from forests.
