PM SVANidhi: From Survival to Self-Reliance
On 27th August 2026, the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) completed one year of its restructured phase, marking a shift from a working-capital credit scheme towards a broader framework encompassing formal finance, digital inclusion, social security, skill development and entrepreneurship.
About PM SVANidhi
- Launched Year: Launched in June 2020 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to provide collateral-free working-capital loans to street vendors and facilitate their integration into the formal financial system.
