Gaganyaan & Gaganyaan National Advisory Council
- Gaganyaan Mission is India’s maiden human space flight programme to be conducted by ISRO in 2022 (75th Independence Day) whereas Gaganyaan is the name of the crewed orbital spacecraft which will be used to carry three people into space for seven days.
- Gaganyaan National Advisory Council (GNAC)
- GNAC has been created in June 2019 with members from different institutions and industries to deliberate on various aspects of Gaganyaan.It will ensure proper co-ordination and speedy pre-operational processes.
- Composition: It comprises of Secretaries of Department of Space, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Defence Research and Development, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, ....
