Swachh Survekshan 2024-25

On 17th July 2025, the President of India conferred Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 Awards at Vigyan Bhagwan, New Delhi, hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).

What is Swachh Survekshan?

  • Swachh Survekshan is an annual cleanliness survey launched in 2016 under the Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban (SBM-U) by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
  • The primary goal of Swachh Survekshan is to encourage large scale citizen participation and create awareness amongst all sections of society about the importance of working together towards making towns and cities better places to reside in.
