Agriculture Sector Credit Stagnates
The share of distressed agriculture sector in non-food credit offtake has remained stagnant and the banks’ exposure declined even as non-performing assets in the sector zoomed by over 40 per cent as of September 2018, the RBI said in a study on ‘Sectoral Deployment of Bank Credit’.
