Major Ports Authority Bill
On 11th February, 2020, Union Cabinet gave its nod to Major Ports Authority Bill that will replace the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963, governing country’s 12 major ports. Currently, most major port trusts in India carry out terminal operations as well, resulting in a hybrid model of port governance.
