Ease of Doing Science Index
Recently, the government has said that it is preparing a new “Ease of Doing Science Index” to coordinate high-impact research funding in a bid to promote scientific research on a par with global standards. It seeks to ensure effective use of both disbursed funds and the time to weed out sub-standard research work.
- It will also prepare a database and it will be a central repository for government-funded research, both completed and existing projects, and will help direct funding towards strategically important areas.
