18th Non-Aligned Movement Summit
During 25th -26th October, 2019 the 18th edition of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit was held in Baku, Azerbaijan with a theme “Upholding Bandung Principles to ensure concerted and adequate response to the challenges of the contemporary world.” India was represented by the Vice-President of India.
Highlights of the Summit
- Vice-President lambasted terrorism as a single most destructive threat which continues to expand its “tentacles with increasing impunity.” He stressed upon Pakistan to decisively abjure terrorism – for its own good, for that of its neighbours and for the good of the world.”
