2019 Nobel Prize in Economics

On 14 October, 2019 the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences for 2019 (Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences) was jointly awarded to Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo, and Michael Kremer, for ‘their experimental approach to alleviating global poverty.’ Banerjee and Duflo are from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Michael Kremer is from the Harvard University.
