Article 142
- Article 142 confers plenary powers on the Supreme Court which empowers it to pass such decree or make such order, in the exercise of its jurisdiction, as is necessary for doing complete justice in any cause or matter pending before it and those decrees or orders shall be enforceable throughout the country in such manner as may be prescribed by or under any law made by the Parliament.
- This implies that the Supreme Court can act, under Article 142, in such matters, where there is some manifest illegality or where some palpable injustice has resulted and the grant of relief ....
