Election Symbols

Recently, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has frozen the election symbol ‘Bungalow’ of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) amid dispute between two factions in the same party.

  • The Commission said that the two factions could use free symbols available to field their candidates for the bypolls.

  • An electoral or election symbol is a standardized symbol allocated to a political party.
