QCI Launches Scheme for Hygiene Rating Audit Agencies
On 15th December, 2020, the Quality Council of India (QCI) launched a Scheme for approval of Hygiene Rating Audit Agencies to increase the number of recognised Hygiene Rating Audit Agencies for scaling up the Food Hygiene Rating across the country.
Key Points
- QCI initiated this scheme after the FSSAI launched a certification system for restaurants, hotels and cafeterias among others under its ‘Food Hygiene Rating Scheme’
- Under this initiative, these food establishments will be rated based on food hygiene and safety parameters by recognised hygiene-rating audit agencies.
- The hygiene rating will be in the form of a smiley (1 to 5) ....
