Tibetan Policy and Support Act 2020
On 27th December, 2020, the US President signed the Tibetan Policy and Support Act of 2020, making it a law.
Need
- Tibetans are concerned over the possibility of the Chinese Government making an attempt to install someone loyal to it as the 15th Dalai Lama after the death of the incumbent.
- China could use him as a puppet to fizzle out the global campaign against its occupation of Tibet.
About Tibetan Policy and Support Act (TPSA)
Building on the landmark Tibetan Policy Act of 2002, the TPSA will:
