Extended Range Version of BrahMos Missile
- Recently, DRDO has planned for the development of an extended range version of BrahMos missile. The successful testing of the 400-km range of BrahMos was conducted in September 2020.
- A hypersonic version of the missile which flies at over five times the speed of sound is under progress and the target is to test an 800-km range BrahMos next year.
- The team is also working on a 1,500-km range land-based missile.
