Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020
The Haryana state assembly recently passed the Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020. The Act seeks to reserve 75% of new jobs for local candidates in various companies, societies, trusts, and limited liability partnership firms situated in the state of Haryana. This reservation will be for local candidates for all jobs with a compensation below Rs 50,000 per month.
- Haryana will become 2nd State after Andhra Pradesh to have 75% reservation for locals based on Domicile (under the Andhra Pradesh Employment of Local Candidates in the Industries / Factories Act, 2019).
