ISRO and IIA Sign Pact for Space Cooperation
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has signed a pact with Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) for collaboration in establishing optical telescope facilities under Project ‘NETRA’ for tracking space objects.
- The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between ISRO and IIA will pave the way for cooperation in space situational awareness and astrophysics.
- The optical telescope facilities will enable space-object tracking, studies related to space weather, asteroids and other near-earth objects.
