Pradhan Mantri JI-VAN Yojana

On March 2, 2019, Government of India launched “Pradhan MantriJI-VAN (Jaiv Indhan- Vatavaran Anukool Fasal Awashesh Nivaran) Yojana” for providing financial support to Integrated Bioethanol Projects using lignocellulosic biomass and other renewable feedstock.
Centre for High Technology (CHT), a technical body under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will be the implementation agency for the scheme.

Objectives

To facilitate financial support to Integrated Bioethanol Projects using lignocellulosic biomass and other renewable feedstock.
To supplement the targets envisaged by Central Government under Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) programme.
