India Elected Member of UN Commission on Status of Women
India, on September 15, 2020 got elected as a member of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women(CSW), securing the most votes ahead of China. Afghanistan was the other country elected as member. The election marksthe year of 25thanniversary of the Beijing World Conference on Women, which started in the year 1995.
