Gita Govinda
- Recently Union Ministry of Culture launched the book “Gita Govinda: Jaydeva’s Divine Odyssey” by Dr.Utpal K. Banerjee.
- It is a work composed by the 12th-century Hindu poet, Jayadeva (One of the five gems in the court of Lakshman Sen of Bengal).
- It is a lyrical poem dramatizing the divine love of Krishna and Radha.
- It is organized into twelve chapters. Each chapter is further sub-divided into one or more divisions called Prabandhas, totalling twenty-four in all.
