Chief of Defence Staff Post Announced by PM
On 15th August Prime Minister announced the new Post of Chief of Defence Staff from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
Chief of Defence Staff
- It is the post of combined head of Army, Navy and Airforce.
- The scope of responsibility of the CDS is being worked out.
- He would also provide major inputs for the National Security Strategy and will be responsible for producing the National Military Strategy.
