National Council for Transgender Persons
- The Central government has constituted the National Council for Transgender Persons in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 16 of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019.

Composition of the Council
- Chairperson: The Union Minister of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (ex-officio).
- Vice-Chairperson: The Union Minister of State of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (ex-officio).
- Other Members include:
- oRepresentatives from five states or Union Territories- one each from the north, south, east, west and northeast regions, on a rotational basis.
- oFive members of the transgender community -one each from the north, south, east, west and northeast ....
