Andhra Pradesh gives Locals 75% Reservation in Private Jobs
The Andhra Pradesh legislators passed the AP Employment of Local Candidates in Industries and Factories Bill, 2019, on 24th July 2019, that mandates reservation of at least 75 percent for state candidates in private industrial units.
- Reservation will extend to industries, factories, joint venture units and projects taken up under Public-Private Partnership initiatives.
- The existing units and projects will have 3 years to implement it.
