Visit of US Secretary of State to India
On his recent visit to India, the US Secretary of State and India’s External Affairs Minister had discussions on a wide range of issues. This follows India’s External Affairs Minister’s visit to the US in May 2021. Earlier, they both had detailed conversations during the G7 meeting (in the UK) and the G20 meeting (in Italy) also.

- The US announced a USD 25-million grant for India’s vaccine programme, and promised to strengthen vaccine supply chains to enhance production.
- Quad’s initiative of providing India-made COVID-19 vaccines in the Indo-Pacific region was discussed.
