Pre-Summit of the UN Food Systems Summit 2021

From 26th to 28th July, 2021, the three-day Pre-Summit of the United Nations Food System Summit 2021 was organized jointly by the United Nations and the Government of Italy.

About the Pre-Summit

  • The summit took place in the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome.
  • It was organized in preparation for the UN Food Systems Summit scheduled to be held in New York, in September 2021.
  • The event aims to deliver the latest evidence-based and scientific approaches to food systems transformation from around the world, launch a set of new commitments through coalitions of action and mobilize new financing and partnerships.
