The Cause of Revolt
- The issue of greased cartridges and military grievances has been over emphasized, as the factor of revolt of 1857.
- However, the recent research has proved that the cartridge was neither the only cause and nor even the most important one.
- Infact there were multiple causes which was responsible for revolt i.e. social, religious, political, economic that worked together to produce the rebellion.
