DeRelevancy in Prelims Microsat R: In January 2019, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched a defence imaging satellite Microsat R for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), along with another satellite Kalamsat v2. Both the satellites were launched by the PSLV-C44. GSAT-7A Mission: In December 2018, GSLV-F11 successfully launched GSAT-7A, ISRO’s 39th communication satellite into the space. GSAT-7A is a geostationary satellite carrying communication transponders in Ku-band. The Satellite is built to provide communication capability to the users over the Indian region.
