Sagar Parikrama Program Phase III
On 19th February, 2023, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying launched Sagar Parikrama Program Phase III from Hazira Port, Surat, Gujarat.
About Sagar Parikrama Program Phase III
- It aims at sustainable use of marine resources and improving the quality of life and economic well-being of the fishing community.
- The phase-III of the programme will proceed from Hazira Port towards the coastline of Maharashtra at Satpati, Vasai, Versova. Maharashtra has 720 km of coastline covering five coastal districts Thane, Raigad, Greater Mumbai, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.
