Bharat-VISTAAR: AI-Driven DPI for Farmer Empowerment
On 17th February 2026, the Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare launched the farmers’ digital companion ‘Bharat Vistaar’ from Jaipur (Rajasthan).
What is Bharat-Vistaar?
- Bharat-VISTAAR (Virtually Integrated System to Access Agricultural Resources) is the farmer-centric, AI-powered digital public infrastructure (DPI), which will deliver reliable information to farmers by connecting various government and scientific sources.
- In Phase-1, states like Maharashtra, Bihar, and Gujarat have been connected to the platform.
