Kerala Nativity Card Bill
On 18th February 2026, the Kerala Cabinet approved the Kerala Nativity Card Bill to introduce a Nativity Card based on the existing Nativity Certificate issued by the state.
- The Nativity Card will function as an authoritative document for availing various Kerala government services and social purposes.
- The Tahsildar will be the competent authority to issue the card, while village offices will maintain official registers.
- Applicants must submit prescribed applications along with required documents and applicable fees.
- The Bill empowers the government to specify circumstances where the card may be used independently or with other records.
