NITI Aayog’s Renewable Energy Blueprint for Andhra Pradesh
On 5th February 2026, B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO of NITI Aayog, handed over a draft Energy Transition Blueprint to the Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh at the State Secretariat in Amaravati.
- The blueprint outlines a plan to transform the state into one of India’s top three renewable energy hubs, with proposed investments of about Rs.7.5 lakh crore in the energy sector.
- The blueprint proposes investments worth Rs.3.3–Rs.3.4 lakh crore for energy transition and Rs.4–Rs.4.2 lakh crore for building a renewable energy export hub, totalling about Rs.7.5 lakh crore.
