In a first in India, Delhi government has launched a plasma bank for treating covid-19 patients.
About Plasma Bank
- Plasma Bank functions like a blood bank and has been created specifically for those who are suffering from COVID-19 and have been advised for plasma therapy by doctors.
- Idea is to extract and store plasma from people who have recovered from COVID19 and give it to someone suffering from the disease.
- Delhi has been using Convalescent Plasma Therapy, an experimental treatment that doctors are using for people with severe coronavirus disease ....
