Global Trends Report 2021
Recently, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) released the Global Trends Report on forced displacements.
Published annually, the Global Trends Report presents key statistical trends and the latest numbers of refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced and stateless persons worldwide as well as numbers of people who have returned to their countries or areas of origin.
Key Highlights
- Global Forced Displacements: By the end of 2021, the number of people forced to flee due to persecution, conflict, violence, human rights violations and events seriously disturbing public order reached 89.3 million.
