SEBI Panel on Hybrid Securities
On 20th June, 2022, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) set up an advisory committee on hybrid securities.
- The 20-member committee will be chaired by K V Kamath, Chairperson of National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development.
- The Committee will identify use case scenarios of hybrid securities in the context of the infrastructure financing needs of the Indian economy and make recommendations for developing instruments to meet the needs of the infrastructure sector.
About Hybrid Securities
- It is a single financial security that combines two or more different financial instruments.
- These are defined under Section 2 (19A) of the Companies Act, 1956 ....
