Draft Green Credit Programme Implementation Rules 2023
On 26th June, 2023, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) issued the draft ‘Green Credit Programme Implementation Rules 2023’ under the Environment Protection Act, 1986. The Green Credit Programme under Mission LiFE aims to promote environment-friendly practices and sustainability in India.
Key Points
- Implementation: The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education shall be the administrator of the programme. It will be implemented in phases, with the initial focus on 2-3 activities from eight identified sectors for piloting the programme.
