Amendments to International Health Regulations 2005
On 1st June, 2024, the 77th World Health Assembly (WHA) ratified crucial amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005) and committed to finalize negotiations on a global pandemic agreement by 2024 or no later than 2025, aimed at bolstering global health security against future outbreaks and pandemics.
- The 77th WHA was held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 27 May – 1 June 2024. The theme was: All for Health, Health for All.
