‘Bhuvan Panchayat’ & ‘National Database for Emergency Management’
On 28th June, 2024, Union government launched two Geoportals – ‘Bhuvan Panchayat (Ver. 4.0)" portal and ‘National Database for Emergency Management (NDEM Ver. 5.0)’ at Prithvi Bhavan, New Delhi.
About the Geoportals
1. Bhuvan Panchayat Geoportal 4.0
- Purpose: It is an online platform that provides geospatial data and services to support the integration and utilization of space-based information in governance and research initiatives involving spatial planning, particularly at the Gram Panchayat level.
- Developer: National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
