GNSS-Based Electronic Toll Collection
On 7th June, 2024, Indian Highways Management Co. Ltd (IHMCL), which operates under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), called for expressions of interest (EOI) to develop and implement a global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based electronic toll collection (ETC) system.
- The EoI aims to identify experienced and capable companies that can deliver a robust, scalable, and efficient toll charger software.
- This software will be the backbone for the implementation of the GNSS-based electronic toll collection in India.
