11th BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting
The 11th BRICS Environment Ministers’ Meeting was held on April 3, 2025, in Brasilia, Brazil. The meeting took place ahead of the upcoming 17th BRICS Summit and the UNFCCC COP30, which is scheduled for November 2025, also in Brazil. The objective of the meeting was to promote low-carbon, climate-resilient growth among the BRICS+ nations.
Key Outcomes of the Meeting
- A new platform was launched for the sharing of eco-friendly technologies, aimed at enhancing climate innovation and supporting capacity-building initiatives across BRICS nations.
- Member countries reaffirmed their commitment to collective action on sustainable development and better access to climate finance.
