Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR)
The Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR) was held from 14 to 18 October 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Manila, Philippines. The conference was hosted by the Government of the Philippines in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR).
- Objective: The key objective of APMCDRR 2024 was to review and enhance regional cooperation for implementing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030.
- Theme: The working theme of the conference was “Surge to 2030: Enhancing ambition in Asia-Pacific to accelerate disaster risk reduction.”
