Budget Size, Structure and Economic Indicators

  • The total size of the Bihar Budget 2025–26 is Rs. 3,16,895 crore, which is Rs. 38,169 crore more than the Rs. 2,78,726 crore in 2024–25.
  • This budget is 15 times larger than the Rs. 22,568 crore budget of 2005–06.
  • Bihar’s GSDP in current prices is projected to reach Rs. 10.97 lakh crore in 2025–26, with an annual growth rate of 22%.
  • For 2025–26, total expenditure (excluding debt repayment) is estimated at Rs. 2,94,075 crore, which is 10% lower than the previous year.
