The index ranks 180 countries based on perceived public-sector corruption using data from 13 independent expert and business sources.

- Two-thirds of countries scored below 50, reflecting poor anti-corruption performance.
- Democratic strength correlated with CPI scores: full democracies averaged 73, flawed democracies 47, and authoritarian regimes 33.
- Denmark topped the index with a score of 90, followed by Finland (88) and Singapore (84).
