Environmental Performance Index (EPI) 2024

The Environmental Performance Index (EPI) 2024 was released in June 2024 by Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy, Center for International Earth Science Information Network Earth Institute, Columbia University with support from the McCall MacBain Foundation.

The Index assesses 180 countries across 58 indicators in 11 issue categories related to 3 policy objectives:

  1. Environmental Health
  2. Ecosystem Vitality
  3. Climate Change
  • The EPI team transforms the raw environmental data into indicators that place countries on a 0–100 scale from worst to best performance.
