India-Australia Maritime Security Dialogue
The 6th India-Australia Maritime Security Dialogue was held on August 13, 2024, in Canberra, Australia. The dialogue focused on enhancing cooperation in areas such as maritime domain awareness (MDA), Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), and Indo-Pacific maritime stability.
Key Outcomes of the Dialogue
- Both countries held in-depth discussions on improving maritime domain awareness, strengthening HADR mechanisms, and securing vital sea lines of communication (SLOCs).
- A review of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) was undertaken to assess ongoing collaboration in the maritime domain.
