Nano Fertilizer
Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) will establish its first international nano fertiliser plant in Brazil, marking a major step in globalising India’s agri-tech innovations.
- IFFCO pioneered the world’s first ‘Nano Liquid Urea’ in 2021, followed by the launch of Nano-DAP in 2023, revolutionising nutrient delivery in farming.
- Nano fertilisers are made using nanomaterials (100 nanometres or less), allowing controlled release and gradual nutrient diffusion into the soil.
- These fertilisers enhance nutrient uptake, reduce wastage, lower application frequency, and minimise soil and water pollution.
