Index of Industrial Production (IIP) - Base Year Revised to 2022-23
On 1st June 2026, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) revised the base year of the All India Index of Industrial Production (IIP) from 2011-12 to 2022-23 under the guidance of the Technical Advisory Committee for Base Year Revision of IIP (TAC-IIP).
What is IIP?
- A monthly indicator released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) under MoSPI.
- Measures changes in the volume of industrial production in India across sectors such as mining, manufacturing, and electricity.
