Parliamentary Standing Committee Report on Women & Child Development
On 16th June 2026, the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports presented its 379th Report in the Rajya Sabha, reviewing the Government’s action taken on the recommendations of the 365th Report on Demands for Grants (2025–26) pertaining to the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
Key Observations and Recommendations
Skilling of Adolescent Girls
- The Committee noted that 6,263 adolescent girls had been mobilized across 27 districts in 19 States under the pilot skilling programme in convergence with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
